[Now there are a lot of things that Kesara could actually ask. And some of them would be more subtle than others. But she decides to forego subtlety this time, and bet on certain approaches that only cute eleven years old girls can get away with.]
That, [Kesara replies simply at the term of endearment.] You speak Russian. It's a Russian name, Natasha. And you said you worked at gathering information, and that could mean many things, but you also said that you worked for the government, but you wouldn't tell me which government - not really, though all your answers were perfectly good ones. I know people who talk like that.
[All of which can point to a hundred other things. But it's spies that Kesara is interested in, and she's willing to risk a mistake. At worst, she'd just look like a fanciful child.]
Not all Russians are spies, and I was perfectly honest about who I work for. I don't work for any sovereign government, as I've told you. SHIELD operates out of a helicarrier, specifically so its headquarters aren't located in any one country. Why are you so interested in spies, Kesara?
[Was she wrong? Kesara is chastised, but not yet entirely convinced.]
Of course not all Russians can be spies, but here there is a lot of talk of them. It's not only me. There is the business with Winter, and other people here are worried, too. Is it very silly of me to worry?
You wouldn't tell me if you were. [She shrugs resignation.] I don't think you're a spy for anyone outside the town. But, maybe... most people here don't think a lot about what happens when we go back home with everything we know.
Kesara, I am not going to beg you to give me your notes. You'll give them to me or you won't. I can sit here for the next few hours giving you reassurances while you attempt to poke holes in them, but that won't help either of us.

Miss Natasha... are you a spy?
